Dr Kirby, OB/GYN, LHSC

Post by Isis on Sun Jan 01, 2012 12:54 pm

When I gave birth to my DS, I had Dr Kirby as my OB/GYN.
I'm a strong believer that a womans birthing experience is something she carries with her for the rest of her life, and that she needs a lot of support during this time. Dr Kirby was anything but supportive. I had been pushing for about 2 hours before they called in Dr Kirby to finish the delivery process. I remember her getting into her gown, and gloves on, mask.. I remember her then telling me that I had 10 minutes to push DS out, because she had to go to her daughters Christmas concert.
I'm sorry but you can't rush these things!
Appointments leading up to the big day were wonderful. I thought Dr Kirby was a very nice woman, and felt as though I was in good hands. Maybe my experience was the result of a bad morning.. I don't know. But I personally, will not be seeing Dr Kirby again in the future.
